The Friends of Mashpee NWR are pleased to announce we have been awarded a Clean Trail Grant from ExtremeTerrain, a provider of performance parts and accessories for the Jeep Wrangler!
We plan to use the grant for a 2023 Earth Day event, by purchasing plants and seeds to enhance one or more of our pollinator gardens in the Mashpee Refuge. More details about the event and to sign up as a volunteer will be forthcoming in the Spring.
The Extreme Terrain Clean Trail Grant Program was launched in April of 2015 to fund trail clean-up and improvement related projects. Recipients are each awarded a $250 grant towards trail cleanup or trail improvement projects. As of March 2020, they had awarded over 100 grants dedicated to the clean-up of both off-road trails and nature preserves totaling over $25,000!
