Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge

As a nonprofit organization, the Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge is committed to its obligations of transparency and accountability.

Our Mission:

Our Mission is to:  raise awareness and provide support for the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge and its Partners and to preserve and protect our natural resources.

Board of Directors:

The elected Board of Directors of the Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge consists of an Executive Committee (President, Treasurer, and Clerk), and up to 11 Directors.

Meetings:

The Board of Directors meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm via Zoom. Additionally, we have an annual meeting in January or February. Our meetings are open to the public. Please join us!

The David Ross Palmer Environmental Hero Award

David Ross PalmerThis award is named for the late David Ross Palmer, founder and first president of the Friends (1995-2000), who was a champion of the environment, particularly Waquoit Bay watershed. The Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge, Inc (FMNWR). initiated this award in honor of David in 2013 to community leaders who are demonstrate outstanding dedication and excellent Stewardship & Conservation work within the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge.
