Town of Mashpee Interpretive Nature Tours – John Johansen Conservation Area

Take a hike to the Mashpee River, and investigate the signs of vernal pools in this beautiful oak/pine forest.

Directions: John Johansen Conservation Area is located on 100 Meetinghouse Road in the Town of Mashpee.

The Mashpee Conservation Department is continuing its schedule of free Naturalist-guided tours of Mashpee’s unique and diverse conservation areas. All ages are invited and children are encouraged to come. Many nature programs are designed for children and their families. Further information can be obtained by calling the Mashpee Conservation Department at 539-1400, ext. 8540, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Guide maps for many Conservation areas are available at the Conservation offices at the Mashpee Town Hall. Tours may be cancelled in the event of stormy weather. All tours will practice
social distancing guidelines.
