South Cape Beach Cleanup

Join us to clean up South Cape Beach in Mashpee! The Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge will be a volunteer leader as part of the Willie’s Superbrew SuperBeach Cleanup happening all across Massachusetts September 18th, 2021. For one day we’re all coming together to take care of the beaches and shores that we love so much. Sign up today and bring your friends and family to make it a cleanup party!

It will be held on Saturday, September 18th starting at 1pm. We will cover the marsh areas near the Mashpee town parking lot. (another group is doing the main beach area). If you do not have a town beach sticker, you can park at the DCR Bayberry parking lot which is on the right side before you turn left towards the town beach parking lot for free. We’ll start there promptly at 1pm and break into groups to cover each marsh area (sage lot and marsh behind town beach). Bring trash bags, gloves, appropriate clothing, some water, shoes that will get wet if high tide in the marsh areas, and slather on sunscreen before joining the group. More info on the site link below but you don’t need to sign up, just show up on the 18th

Register here (look for the Mashpee Beaches link below the large map).
